To celebrate the Year of the Rooster, Legend has released a limited edition iPhone 7.
The Finland-based luxury smart device maker Legend is giving you another reason to celebrate the New Year.
The company has announced a limited edition bespoke iPhone 7, adorned with 24k gold, which plays homage to the Year of the Rooster, but also features subtle nods to Chinese culture.
The centerpiece of this luxurious iPhone 7 is, as expected, a rooster. But not just any rooster, a rooster that adorns its back, made of 24 karat gold.
But Legend has a keen eye for details, so if you look closely at the fowl’s mouth, you’ll see eight stringed lucky charms, as eight is a very lucky number in Chinese culture.
The corners of the back have the symbols of Fu, Lu and Shou, inlaid with enamel and 24k gold-plated, which are deities of prosperity, status and longevity.
As for the rest of its rectangular frame, it is engraved with Chinese cloud ornaments, filled with transparent red enamel, the color of good fortune.
Since each of Legend’s creations is bespoke, the client can customize the design with various options.
Legend also offers an alternative centerpiece instead of rooster; a 24K gold-plated Dragon centerpiece.
As special feature, the dragon’s eyes are hand-set with genuine red diamonds.
The design can be further customized with full platinum or rose gold-plating, whatever floats your boat, really.
Legend uses iPhones with 256GB memory as standard. Black, gold or white hand-cut mother-of-pearl inlays can be chosen as backgrounds for the centerpiece.
The enamel filled engravings can be alternatively filled with your favorite color instead of red.
The commemorative Year of the Rooster iPhone 7 comes with a custom-made leather pouch, 24K gold plated ear pods, a luxurious presentation box, certificate and a warranty card.
Right now, the phone can be purchased from Legend’s website for 3,390 euros, or The Venetian Macao, and soon from a retailer in Hong Kong’s Times Square mall.
