The two Rolls-Royce Phantom cars are a part of a 30 Rolls-Royce Phantom cars destined for the 13 Hotel in Macau!

The two special cars will be joining the collection of the 13 Hotel, Asia’s most anticipated hotel.

The cars are destined only for hotel’s most important guests, and are part of the 30-strong collection of Rolls-Royce Phantoms commissioned by luxury entrepreneur Stephen Hung, the chairman of the 13 Holdings Limited.

All the vehicles he commissioned are made to reflect his bold vision as expressed in the design scheme of his refined and remarkable hotel.

The special two will serve as flagships, which is perfect to reflect the luxurious state of the hotel, considering that the cars have been infused with 24-karat gold on both the interior and exterior.

At the time Mr. Hung commissioned the cars, the two gold-infused were the most expensive Rolls-Royce Phantoms ever built with the cost of the entire fleet estimated at $20 million.

When the painting of the two cars was in progress, the British automaker installed new and specialist equipment at the Surface Finish Centre at the Rolls-Royce Global Centre of Excellence in Goodwood, to make sure no contamination would occur.

In order to be able to make the cars incredible as you see them, the finish uses 250 percent more paint than other Phantoms, resulting in ten layers with one featuring a 40-micron deep layer of gold, combined with glass and aluminum for an alluring shimmer.

They even modified the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy emblem at the front of the vehicle making it also 24-karat gold plated, another reason complementing the gold-colored Pantheon Grille and Rolls-Royce badge.

But they did not stop there, no. They made the cars even more excessive with 336 brilliant-cut diamonds surrounding the RR emblem.

Then it was a finishing touch on the exterior with a golden twin coachline hand-painted by Mark Court, Rolls-Royce’s resident expert coachline painter.

Wait, there is more. These cars have umbrellas incorporated in the doors of the car, with gold handle and golden trim to match the color themes of the hotel. Gold thread has also been handwoven into the starlight headliner.

Rolls-Royce says the 30 Bespoke Phantoms represent the largest single commission in Rolls-Royce history.

“A Rolls-Royce motor car is commissioned to express the tastes, desires and lifestyle of its patron,” said Giles Taylor, director of design at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

“It is testament to the skill of the artisans that so elegantly express their craft at our Global Centre of Excellence in Goodwood, that this bold and technically challenging design scheme has been executed so perfectly.”
