Life as a rapper must be really awesome. Imagine how the life the world’s richest rappers must be.
Throwing money in the air, the finest champagne, travelling in expensive cars or by helicopter, legendary pool parties, massive, exquisite houses and the list can continue.
But they wouldn’t have any of those if it wasn’t for their natural skills. The passion for music made them superstars and the spotlights made them rich. How rich?

10 Nelly – Net worth : $60 million
We begin our top list with one of my favorites.
Born in Austin, Texas, Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., or by his stage name, Nelly, has an estimated net worth of $60 million, collected from his music, songwriting, investing and occasionally, acting.
His music career started back in 1993, when he performed with a rap group called ‘The Lunatics’.
3 years later, Nelly signed a recording contract with Universal Records, making his solo debut with the single ‘Country Grammar’.
So if you’re gonna ‘take a ride wit him’, you’d better wear clothes from Nelly’s awesome clothing lines, ‘Apple Bottoms’ and ‘Vokal’, but not too many, because it might get ‘hot in here’.
9 Timbaland – Net worth : $85 million
With a net worth of $85 million, Timbaland, or Timothy Zachery Mosley, is one of the greatest record producer and singer from all the rap industry.
The 42 year-old artist had the opportunity to work with other well known rappers, such as Dr. Dre, Ludacris, LL Cool J or Jay-Z, and also, with Aaliyah, Missy Elliott, and Justin Timberlake.
Timbaland’s fortune is collected from his projects. For example, the Nelly Furtado’s album from 2006 titled ‘Loose’ sold over 10 million copies.
So far, Timbaland has won 2 Grammy Awards from 13 nominations and also, 4 MTV Music Awards and was nominated 7 times for Teen Choice Award.
8 Pharrell Williams – Net worth : $110 million
Everyone gets ‘Happy’ when we hear the name Pharrell. If now we know him as the artist who sings ‘ Get Lucky’ and ‘Happy’, in the past, we knew him for only being lead vocalist for the rock group N.E.R.D.

Being a member of D12, as well as one of the duo Bad Meets Evil, Eminem gained Dr. Dre’s attention after the release of ‘The Slim Shady’ EP.

3Dr. Dre – Net worth : $450 million
Our #3 from the world’s richest rappers is Andre Romelle Young, best known by his stage name, Dr. Dre.
In 1984, Dr. Dre became a member of electro-hop group ‘World Class Wreckin’ Cru’, and today is one of the most popular producers. He is the co-founder of Death Row Records, which produced his first solo album titled ‘The Cronic’.
