Ludacris is an American hip hop recording artist and actor and his current net worth is $30 million.
Born as Christopher Brian Bridges in Champaign, Illinois as the only child of Roberta Shields and Wayne Brian Bridges, he grew up to become of the richest rappers.
His family moved to the Chicago area where he grew up and went to school. While there he attended Emerson Middle School as well as Oak Park & River Forest High School for one year.
Then moved to Centreville, Virginia and went to Centreville High School for one year.
He attended and graduated in 1995 from Banneker High School in Atlanta, Georgia.
After, he went to Georgia State University to study music management.
At nine years old he wrote his first rap song. Three years after he moved to Atlanta he joined an amateur rap group.
He used to work as an intern and then as a DJ for the Atlanta’s Hot 97.5 (now 107.9), under the nickname Chris Lova Lova. At some point he also used the nickname Freaknik.
He started to work on his debut album, Incognegro in 1998, a strong example of his fast, wild, and comedic flow, a unique style for a southern rapper.
Ludacris collaborated with Timbaland before on Phat Rabbit song for Timbaland’s album, and this time he produced Luda’s album.
The album, still available today, had bad sales.
Few years later he released his major label debut, Back for the First Time. The album had major success and reached number four on the U.S. Billboard 200.

The album featured guest appearances like 4-Ize, I-20, Shawnna, Pastor Troy, Timbaland, Trina, Foxy Brown, UGK, and others.
Apart from his own songs, he also had guest appearances on other’s artists’ songs. He is also an actor and has appeared on films such as Crash (2004), Gamer (2009), and New Year’s Eve (2011), but is best known for playing Tej Parker in The Fast and the Furious film series.
Lately he released a single called “Vitamin D” featuring Ty Dolla Sign.
