Michael Crichton, its creator, had the plot in his head since he was a resident back in the days, but it was only after collaborating with Steven Spielberg in Jurassic Park that the story came to life.
They first started filming in an abandoned L.A. hospital, with a great cast and the ratings kept growing.
Because of Clooney and the other members of the cats, demanded a bigger slice of the production budget, made the production costs go higher. Then, when Clooney decided to do something else, the show was still one of the best.
