The partnership between luxury tea blender tealeaves and St. Regis San Francisco resulted in the most expensive bubble tea in the world.
Created by Chef Franck Desplechin from the St. Regis San Francisco, only using the best quality ingredients, this tea is one of a kind.
He created something unforgettably delicious named The Boba Tea Shake.
“With this project, we asked ourselves, ‘How would we re-imagine bubble tea with unlimited resources and time?’” said Tealeaves CEO Lana Sutherland.
Why should you buy it?
The beverage includes a combination of Indian, Chinese and Ceylon black tea. And blended with the natural oils of lychee and passion fruit to create a delicate aroma.
Infused with an herbal tea blend and paired with a passion fruit coulis, sea salt, caramel foam, and fleur de sel, the tapioca pearls are just what it needed.
“The World’s Most Expensive Bubble Tea project isn’t about masking the ordinary with diamond-encrusted straws and gold chalices. Is a challenge for us all to elevate expectations, quality, and the standards of ingredients and techniques, using bubble tea as an example—to ‘shake up the status quo’ and ‘question everything.’”

Unveiled at San Francisco Design Week (SFDW) between June 14 and 22, the event is one you don’t want to miss.
