The Hilton Osaka Hotel in Japan is Offering Discount to Women Based on their… High Heels Height
Restaurants and bars often try a lot of different promotions to get people into their places, but the Hilton Osaka Hotel in Japan has the best idea yet.
Hilton Osaka’s idea of bringing more people into their establishments has a lot of people, especially women, adoring it.
This bar is one of the few who offers discounts to women, based on a thing that only they have.
We all know that without women, men will be lost, so in a way this offer is praising them.
Among the dining and drinking choices available at the Hilton Osaka’s café called My Place, is one special offer.
In hopes that this offer will have their new place flooding with customers, the café is offering discounts only to women, based on their… well, high heels height.
Starting June 15, the café bar is offering discounts on food and beverage orders from women who wear heels.
The thing is simple, the higher your heels, the higher the discount.
How the discounts work?
The heels must be at least two inches, or five centimeters, to enter in the discount offer. For example, for two inches high heels you get a ten percent off on any non-course meal menu options.
The discount gets higher, by five percent, for every two centimeters, up to a maximum of 15 centimeters, which gets you a 30% discount.
Beyond 15 centimeters, your discount will be at 40%. With the money saved on the drinks, you can buy yourself one nice foot massage because you are going to need it.
Of course, there are two types of people in this world and here is no exception. While some, especially women, love this offer, the others consider it as sexist and kind of impractical.
According to a sociologist, who mentioned it in a 2014 study on male behavior, the answer why the owners of the café prefer women in their café is simple.
Jean-Claude Kaufmann said: ‘In a seduction setting, men are very attracted by a woman in heels as she looks taller, more sexually confident, sure of herself, and has a lengthened silhouette and sensual jutting buttocks.’
However, My Café is not the first bar to apply this kind of discount. For example, Mong Bar in Ko Lanta, Thailand, offers visitors free shots if they’re willing to partake in an extreme version of the famous knife game.
