Most Expensive Vinyl Records in the World

9- The Five Sharps’ “Stormy Weather” 78-rpm single (1952)

Price: $25,000

The first and only record by the Five Sharp was produced by Jubliee and had limited release. In 1961, a guy named Irv Rose had a copy of the record but he accidentally broke it and offered a reward to anyone who could replace the broken piece.

He wanted the record so bad that started a nationwide hunt for it making  one of the most sought  after a vinyl record of that time.

Only three copies were discovered back then, one of them was cracked and the other chopped. The third one was in excellent condition and auctioned off in June 2008 and it valued around $25,000.
