At the Mandarin Oriental Paris You can Have First Ever Space-Age Dining Experience!

If you got bored of eating at home or out, we’ve got something really unique for you: you can have the first ever space-age dining experience at Mandarin Oriental Paris!

“Mandarin Oriental, Paris, one of only nine hotels in the city honoured with the prestigious ‘Palace’ distinction, has a premier location on Rue Saint-Honoré, surrounded by history and fashionable shopping.

The hotel’s 98 luxurious rooms and 40 suites offer guests an eminently stylish Parisian experience, and are among the most spacious in Paris.”

So, are you ready?

This unique dining experience will be held at Mandarin Oriental Paris’ Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx restaurant each Tuesday in March.

You will be able to discover the same recipes by Chef Thierry Marx that he created for astronaut, Thomas Pesquet to enjoy during his six-month mission abroad the International Space Station.

If you want to fully enjoy the space-age experience at the hotel you can book the One More Night Offer, which is has a complementary third night’s stay.

Thomas Pesquet and the European Space Agency asked Thierry Marx to create several dishes for the astronaut to enjoy at Christmas, birthdays and other celebrations, and he did.

The Michelin-starred recipes were a mix of strict health and safety rules developed by the French Food Innovation Center and directed by Thierry Marx and chemist Raphael Haumont.

You still have time to enjoy the dishes and dine like an astronaut of 7th,14th, 21st and 28th of March when the gastronomic version of the dishes will be presented at Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx restaurant.

“Mandarin Oriental, Paris’s involvement in Thomas Pesquet’s space mission will be celebrated in other ways at the hotel during March,” according to Mandarin Oriental Paris website.

To match the event, the restaurant will be transformed to look like a spaceship, where guests will be able to choose from a six-course menu that contains many surprises.

Among those surprises we can let you on a peek; the six-course menu includes the three recipes created by the chef for the French spaceman like Lucullus’ ox tongue, chicken supreme with morel mushrooms, and Apple gingerbread.

You can have the menu for 230 Euro for a person, with beverages included. The One More Night Offer is available until 29 March 2017. Rates from EUR 925 for a Deluxe room.
