9. Christopher Reeves – $3 million
The American actor, film director, producer, screenwriter, author and activist, is one of the actors who’ve played Superman.
The actor made a name for himself after his portrayal of comic book superhero Superman in a motion picture.
After an equestrian competition in Virginia went wrong and he was thrown from a horse, in 1995, Christopher required a wheelchair and a portable ventilator to breath for the rest of his life.
He lobbied on behalf of people with spinal-cord injuries and for human embryonic stem cell research, founding the Christopher Reeve Foundation and co-founding the Reeve-Irvine Research Center.
In October 2004, Reeve died suddenly of cardiac arrest while co-directing Everyone’s Hero.
