The Corvette V8 is the first generation of the sports car by the Chevrolet division. The V8 has a 4.6 liter engine that has 290 horsepower and can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.1 seconds.
The 1958 V8 had for the first time factory-installed seat belts, rather than being dealer-installed as on previous models. The faux-louvered hood and chrome trunk spears are the unique 1958 features.
