13. 2014 Cadillac ELR – $75,000
Cadillac’s luxury hybrid coupé was debuted as a concept car at the 2009 North American International Auto Show.
The ELR includes a 135-kilowatt electric motor, a 16.5 kWh lithium-ion battery and a four-cylinder engine generator. The top speed is 106 mph and it accelerates to 60mph in 7.8 seconds, and charging times generally range between 12 and 18 hours. The 2016 model of the ELR is $10,000 cheaper and has an all-electric range of 2 extra miles (was 37, now 39).
The original concept version was awarded ‘Most Significant Concept Vehicle of 2009’.
