According to the New York Post, the 24-year-old singer will become the face of the luxury accessory brand, starring in advertising campaigns, as well as designing her own line as Coach Offshoot.
Selena, the most followed person on Instagram, has signed her first deal since she returned to the spotlight after being in rehab as a result of depression.
Earlier this year, she has checked herself into a rehab facility in Tennessee to seek help for “anxiety, panic attacks and depression”.
It seems that the treatment was a success, because the artist came back to the stage on 20th November to attend the American Music Awards show.
She won the “Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist” award at the ceremony, and gave a emotional speech about her struggles.
“In 2014 this stage was actually the first time that I was authentically 100 per cent honest with all of you,” she said. “I think it’s safe to say most of you know a lot of my life whether I liked it or not. I had to stop, I had everything and I was absolutely broken inside.”
She amazed us all with the stunning red ball gown with delicate diamond jewelry she worn at the ceremony, complete with a hairstyle that defines her.
During a previous interview with Sugarscape, Selena was asked to describe her accessory style, to which she replied: “I love bags, but I’m not big on jewelry. Every now and then I fall in love with random rings and bracelets, but I don’t wear jewelry all the time. I like to keep it simple.”
The Coach creative head has yet to release an official statement regarding the upcoming collaboration with the star.
This year, marks Coach’s 75th anniversary, which the brand highlighted earlier this month with a fashion show and star-studded after party.
