12. Albert Einstein’s Famous Photo – Sold for: $75,000
This iconic image, taken at Princeton University in 1951 as the famous professor was leaving his 72nd birthday party. Einstein reportedly loved it so much he asked for 9 prints of it.
A signed version went onto the market in 2009, making it the highest price ever paid for a piece of Einstein’s expensive signed merchandise. The image was auctioned online by PRAuction.com, based in New Hampshire. Not only does it have his signature, it has a short message written in German by the famous physicist, reading “This gesture you will like, because it is aimed at all of humanity.”
