Bringing the ’40s back with this pair Weitzman used up 1,800 Kwiat diamonds on the beautifully designed roses and an extra 400 diamonds within the shoes themselves.
The shoes caused a bit of controversy back in 2008.
After they were done Stuart chose Diablo Cody, the screenwriter of “Juno” , nominee for the best original screenplay that year to be worn on the red carpet.
Cody did in fact won the award that year but she refused to wear the shoes considering them just a publicity stunt and wanting to have nothing to do with it!
