7- Golden Buddha Found Inside Statue
Next on our list is a golden Buddha found inside a statue. It’s about a statue of Buddha dating from the 13th or 14th century.
The statue was moved around so many times in various temples for a number of years before eventually settling at Wat Traimit in Thailand.
But that temple wasn’t suitable either. It wasn’t large enough to hold the sculpture so the people in charge decided to leave it outside, where it was protected only by a tin roof.
Then in 1954 they decided to move it again in a newly constructed part of the temple. While the workers were moving it, a rope accidentally snapped and the statue crashed to the floor.
It was a mistake, but because of that they noticed under the plaster is a statue made of gold.
