1913 ‘Girl on Hammock’ festoon – 80.000$
Mostly used as an ornament, the festoon is a piece of architecture carved in wood with different arrangements added to it.
So in that era the festoon was something to see hanging around from two ribbons, in our case a Coca-Cola ad. Why is this specific piece of collectible worth that much? Because it is probably the last of its kind, which brings something new to the festoon advertising art.
The beautiful girl, the glass of cola, the magazine beside her, the amazing detailing of these things and the new lithography style shows us everything nice about advertising in that era. Worth 80.000 $ the festoon is one of the most expesive Coca-Cola collectibles and a true work of art.
