He is about to enter into a new world, a word of hospitality in the form of an ultra-luxurious eco-resort located on his remote private island off the coast of Belize.

Leo has scheduled the resort to open in 2018, and we finally can take a look at what the sprawling estate is going to be like.

The resort does not have a name yet, but it will include 36 villas and 36 residential homes, according to The Daily Mail reports.

As you can probably notice, the modern touch given by the famous architect Jean-Michel Gathy, who has said he got his inspiration from the architecture of the Mayan civilization that was once called Belize home.

It seems that Leo liked the idea so much, because being one of the most vocal advocates on the dangers of climate changes and all, and he decided the resort will be powered by solar panels.

The resort will be located on his island, a $1.75 million, 104-acre isle known as Belize’s Blackadore Caye.

Ever since 2007 he has played with the idea of turning it into an eco-resort, thought it wasn’t until recently that the celeb made an announcement that starting 2018, DiCaprio will become full-fledged, environmentally-conscious luxury lodgings.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, DiCaprio explained exactly what his intentions were, and they’re quite noble, to say the least. “My goal was always the fact that I wanted to create something not just environmental, but restorative, a showcase for what is possible.”

Business Insider reports that all vehicles will operate using clean energy, water bottles will be reusable, and food will be organic and grown locally.

But if you think Leo is building this place so he and his friends can have a private place to pop bottles and hang with models, think again.

He is building a place that everyone can enjoy, both humans and nature. Makes sense?

“With DiCaprio’s previous philanthropic dedication to protecting the Earth’s wildlife and spaces, it makes sense that this green sensibility would translate to his hotel endeavor.”

We can’t wait to see that happening, and we love Leo even more now!
