The Most Exclusive Bottle of Wine Will Cost You $140,000

Crystal Aevum Imperial is the $140k Most Exclusive Bottle of Wine

Are you ready to see the Crystal Aevum Imperial as the most exclusive bottle of wine? Buckle-up because this is going to get hot!

Who doesn’t love a glass of wine over a nice dinner? Who doesn’t love a glass of RED wine after a tasty dinner? I believe there are just a few who don’t like wine, but for the others there are plenty of choices.

One of those choices is this exclusive bottle of wine made by Penfolds, an Australian manufacturer that has figured how to make good wine and managed to influence the Australia’s winemaking psyche.

Without their influence, the modern Australian wine industry would look very different mostly because the company has a history and heritage that profoundly reflects Australia’s journey from colonial settlement to the modern times.

Ever since 1844, just eight years after the base of South Australia has been put, Penfolds has played an important part in the evolution of winemaking and not just in Australia but also across the world.

And where else the magic starts than in the vineyard?

“We have some of the most experienced and dedicated viticulturalists and grape growers in the world. We count on them for the very best and we always receive it,” says Steve Lienert, Penfolds Senior Red Winemaker.

Their vineyards can be found mostly in South Australia on prime land throughout the state’s most famous viticultural regions.

Their grapes are sourced from more than 220 vineyards and grape growers across Australia.

And now they have entered in a delicious collaboration with Europe’s most respected French glassmaker- Saint Louis.

Their collaboration has put together the art and culture of a service ritual and the first commercial release of only 2012 Grange Imperial 6 litre bottles in the world.

Designed exclusively for the 2012 Garage Imperial, the unique hand-made crystal object of art bottle, the Penfolds Aeyum Imperial Service Ritual, precisely balances and elevates the Imperial to facilitate the perfect pour.

The bottle’s design puts the accent on a powerful and passionate blend where the hours of crafting have made everything to look excellent refining the perfect piece.

“Care, double decanting and ceremony is woven into the fabric of Penfolds and transcends the ordinary. The elevation of the service ritual by way of the Penfolds Aevum Imperial Service Ritual enhances the enjoyment of Grange to release aromas and flavours through aeration, and importantly delivers an unforgettable visual experience and sense of occasion,” says Peter Gago, Penfolds Chief Winemaker.

This is the first time Saint-Louis, who has been making handcrafted crystal objects in France since 1586, has collaborated with a global brand outside of Europe.

“When talent, heritage and know how come together, the journey from craft to ritual can be truly extraordinary. The collaboration between Penfolds and Saint-Louis represents a marriage of two masters of their crafts. This is the first time something of this calibre has taken place and the first time that we have collaborated with a winemaker at this level,” says Jérôme de Lavergnolle, Chief Executive Officer of Saint-Louis.

A limited edition of smaller sculptured decanters Penfolds Aeyum Crystal Decanter was released as part of the collaboration.

Each bottle boats an amazing diamond cut, a signature hallmark of Saint-Louis, all hand-blown, hand crafted.

The Penfolds Collection 2016 is available globally from Thursday 20th October at select fine wine stores and Penfolds Cellar Doors – Magill Estate Winery and Barossa Valley Cellar Door. For more details you should check company’s website: penfolds.com.
