Next on our list of most expensive shoes are the famous ruby slippers Dorothy was wearing in Wizard of Oz.
The actress Judy Garland wore these slippers, probably making every little girl jealous. Out of four pairs, one of them was sold for the amazing price of $612.000.
The second pair was set for sale in 2011 at the Icons of Hollywood Auction, but failed to sell, the starting bid being extremely high, while the third pair is exhibited at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of History in Washington, D.C.
A fourth pair was part of the collection at the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, but was stolen in 2005, and has yet to be recovered.
