This Germain Baillot Concept Watch is What Every Gentleman Should Wear
Here at Alux we love our watches and we are always looking for great pieces such as this Germain Baillot Concept Watch! We love that it looks like it’s from those futuristic movies!
What do you think, Daniel? Would you see yourself with a piece like this at your wrist?
I must admit that this timepiece is not for every average gentleman, no. It is kind of big for every man to handle.
Another creation by Germain Baillot, which is no stranger to concept timepieces, this watch is truly remarkable!
We are looking forward for the Germain Baillot Concept Watch to hit the shops so we can purchase one!
Unlike Germain Baillot’s other creations, this one looks like it’s out of this world thanks to all the jet engine and fuselage designs incorporated into it.
The futuristic timepiece was designed with frequent jet-setter inspiration in mind. It features a 24-hour GMT world time, and comes equipped with two complications such a 24-hour GMT world time and a vertical tourbillion, for everything to be as smooth as possible.
Its aeronautics-inspired looks come complete with a long tube-shaped case with a domed sapphire crystal cover.
Right below the dome, you’ll find three rectangles on another tube which display the time and the corresponding city. Time is set with the help of the jet engine-inspired crown located at 3 o’clock.
Unlike other crowns you might have seen, which are generally small, this one is big, and has a lot of legroom to house the vertical tourbillon.
Then at 9 o’clock you find an exact replica of the crown that is located at 3 o’clock, for a better symmetry. This one helps rotate the world time cylinder, which indicates UTC time of the corresponding city.
With only one main difference between the other ‘world timers’ (on other GMT watches world timer means displaying local time as well), this watch displays only the UTC time.
If this watch goes from being a concept to being a reality, he will have to make some adjustments to make it useful for true jet-setters.
If Germain Baillot Concept Watch will ever be reality it would cost at least $250,000.
