15 Signs You’re Not Ready to be Rich

Are you ready to become rich? Let’s find out!

We’re going to call you out on some things which you might do that are actively keeping you for making progress in your life.

Not everybody is ready to achieve financial success and that’s for good reason.

We will take a look at behaviors, practices, habits & overall lifestyle.

If you relate to this video, a red flag should pop up in your mind signaling that maybe it’s time to make a change, but only if your goal is to achieve financial success.

Money doesn’t come cheap, it takes way more effort than you think, it demands you to evolve into something else, to be smarter, to work harder & make sacrifices which maybe you’re not willing to make at this point.

Go through the list and see for yourself!

If you don’t feel like reading here’s the video version of this article:

Here are 15 Signs You’re not ready to be rich:

Number 1: You can’t save money
Here we go again! “But ALUX, I don’t make enough money to save”.

Sorry, but that’s not how this works. If you’re unable to save 10% of your earnings now, you won’t be able to do it if your income doubles either. You are assuming that if the money doubled your lifestyle would remain the same, but that’s not what usually happens.

People who spend all the money they earn usually adjust their lifestyles according to their earnings ceiling.

Try it for yourself and see what happens. Break down everything you spend money on in the last 2 weeks and find which expenses were unnecessary. We guarantee that you’ll find more than 10% thrown around on things you didn’t need or particularly want, you just went with the flow.

Number 2: You still expect to get rich quick
Real wealth is built in time! It takes brick after brick to put together a decent wall.

You always fantasize about what it would be like if you magically got 1 billion dollars! What winning the lottery might be like, what finding out a long lost relative left you his fortune..

Those who are actually going to be rich don’t waste time on wishful thinking, instead they get to work.

Contrary to everyone else, they’re getting rich slowly. It will take years & in the first few you’re not seeing that much movement.

But with time things start to shape up and before you know it, they’re exponentially growing while you’re left in the same spot hoping that the universe will provide with what you want instead of working for it.

Number 3: You wait for the right time.
This is another mistake most people make. They wait for an opportunity and for all things to perfectly align themselves before they make a move.

This is basically the same wishful thinking we talked about earlier.

The time will never be perfect. Here’s something most people don’t know but it’s incredibly valuable.

NOW is better than Perfect!

Mostly because perfect doesn’t exist and now allows you to move forward. It allows you to evaluate what’s going well and what isn’t. You can make adjustments and improve!

The goal is to move forward!

Number 4: You take pride in your humble lifestyle
Don’t get us wrong: you should always be happy with your current reality, but that doesn’t mean one shouldn’t find ways to improve everything about his existence.

People will depend on you and considering you’ve only have a limited time here on earth, why wouldn’t you want to make the best of it.

There’s no nobility in being poor!

Poor means that you’re unable to take care of yourself if something were to happen, poor means you don’t get to access the same opportunities like everybody else.

Fix all of that AND THEN live a minimalist lifestyle, that’s how you win!

Number 5: You think Hard Work is all it takes
Let me put it this way:

If hard work is all that it took to be successful, the richest people in the world would be coal miners!

Building wealth and maintaining it requires a plethora of skills that need to work together in unison.

Hard work and discipline are just one element in that jigsaw.

These days, your inability to leverage technology to your advantage is one of the largest handicaps a person can poses.

For at least some of you English isn’t even your first language, yet you’ve adopted this technology and now you have access to the knowledge in this video right now.

Your ability to discipline, motivate, learn, adapt and leverage the technology available to you will all factor in.

You need to think globally! Instead of starting a small store locally, why not try for an online store and sell your products internationally. Just start the store as your first step and then figure out how you can scale.

Our go to platform for this is shopify. If you go to alux.com/sell you will get access to everything you need to get started for free, thanks to the deal we have with them. Go ahead, play around and see how this could help you in your journey.

Number 6: You work a job you hate
Raise your hand if this touched something within you!

Does it at least pay incredibly well? We guess not. It’s time to rethink what the hell are you doing with your life. Why are you not constantly looking for alternatives?

The fact that you understand this, yet you do not do anything about it is a clear sign you’re not ready to be rich.

Successful people are always pushing towards a better life, they never settle for mediocrity or for less than what they desire.

Jobs are putting food on your table, but the rest of the time you should putting in the work to escape it.

Number 7: You spend too much time on entertainment
How many subscriptions to entertainment only services do you have? Netflix, hbo go, amazon prime, spotify and more…

How much time do you waste watching mediocre tv shows or playing video games?

With every hour in your day, you are making a choice on what you spend it. There’s nothing wrong with putting some towards your passions, but let’s be honest here, are you overspending your time? What’s the ratio like?

In the words of J Cole:

Some people make millions,

Other people make memes!

At one point, you’ll see some of your friends making progress in their lives, building families & happiness, while you’re still in your room unable to cope with reality.

Number 8: You’re scared of change
The fool is scared by what he doesn’t understand!

Change can be difficult, but in this day and age, more than ever you need to be able to embrace it, for if you do not, you get left behind.

The world is changing super fast and it laughs at people who want to chain themselves to the old ways.

Just look at how different the world we live in is compared to 50 years ago.

We are evolving and you need to keep up if you want to survive, not to mention if you want to be rich.

You have a unique opportunity right now, look at how the world is changing and adapt to what’s to come. By the time it happens, you will already be waiting and the world will reward you.

Number 9: Your friends want the simple life
Your environment is holding you down! We’ve said it and we’ll say it again:

You are the average of the 5 people you spend most of your time with!

If you want to be rich, surround yourself with people who are working for that same goal. They’ll keep you motivated, you’ll see them put in the hours and can share insights within the group.

You shouldn’t compete with your friends, you should help each other grow, for you are racing against the world, not against each other.

Do not judge your friends for not wanting as much as you do, this life isn’t for everyone and if you care more about these friendships, it might not even be for you!

Number 10: You don’t read for growth
We’ve been big ambassadors of reading, especially now when people are bombarded by distractions. We’ve recommended so many books on our channel that you have enough to completely upgrade who you are.

Reading can be an entertainment medium, what most do not realize is that it’s also a growth environment.

READ TO GROW, not to be entertained.

READ TO LEARN about the world and about yourself.

You have a direct feed to the works of some of the most brilliant minds to ever live. All that value is waiting for you in books.

Technology allows you to have access to that value at the lowest price ever in history. You just have to go get it.

A year ago when we partnered with Audible we did so in order to have more people interested in personal development.

Thousands of you went to alux.com/freebook, signed up and began your journey for free. That’s value you get to claim free of charge! If you haven’t, do it right now and pick any of the top books in self development and see what that does to the way you look at the world. We’ve received countless emails of people who never read much before, but began with our videos, then got into audiobooks and now they’re building their first library.

Number 11: People find you arrogant and entitled
Another sign that you are not ready to be rich is that you believe the world owes you your success. You think you’re better than everybody else, without actually having anything to base that on.

Here’s what we’ve noticed about people:

We judge others by their actions, but we tend to judge ourselves based on our intent!

Take a moment to think about this and analyze your behavior objectively. Put your head, be humble and keep moving forward. In time you’ll notice the world is finally paying attention, but not because of how loud you scream, but because of how far you’ve went from where you started!

Number 12: Your religion looks down on wealth
It’s always been a controversial point whenever we brought up religion on our channel. People are more sensitive about this than almost anything else.

But many groups of people are being held down and do not escape poverty because their religion of choice looks down on progress and wealth.

In many religions you’ll hear that Heaven is no place for the wealthy, or that if you live a life of poverty you will be rewarded with abundance in your next life.

That’s a gamble we’re not willing to take.

Wealth is a tool, nothing less nothing more. In the same way you can use a hammer to build a house or you could use it to crush your finger.

Believing or not in god has nothing to do with the good you can do in this world.

Statistically speaking, the poorest people in the world are also the most religious. These have also the least impact in the progress of humanity or the betterment of others.

Deadly illnesses have been cured by progress, not by religion and we’re slowly increasing the quality of life of everybody in the world through new technologies and innovation. Do you want to wait to be saved, or are you going to go do some saving yourself?

Number 13: You have a single source of income
There comes a point in everyone’s life where you need to think about what’s the worse thing that could happen.

What if you got hit by a car tomorrow and were unable to continue working the way you have by now? Would you still be able to take care of yourself and those you care about, or would they need to take care of you?

This is where diversification of income streams comes in. basically, don’t put all your eggs in 1 basket.

No matter how much money you’re earning, start setting some aside. Look for alternative investments. They might yield a smaller return, but they don’t depend on you as much.

Real estate, royalties, other people’s businesses can all be crucial to building long term wealth.

Number 14: You need other people to motivate you
This is one of the most valuable inner skills one can possess. In your journey you’ll need to push through sometimes through sheer willpower. You need to be in your own corner looking out for yourself, calling yourself out on your bullshit.

Disciplining your mind and actions is one of the core requirements for achievement and without a strong mindset you’ll never break through.

If you find it difficult to maintain focus, to self-discipline and force yourself to move forward, we have bad news for you! You’re nowhere near ready to be rich!

Number 15: You don’t own a product or service that you sell, you are the product or service!
If you are getting paid for your time, somebody is monetizing you. The problem with this situation is that there are only 24 hours in a day. Which means if you just worked you would be paid 24 times your hourly rate. That’s your ceiling, you will never earn more than that.

People get rich by levering other people’s time and effort. They create systems and products that could serve hundreds, thousands and even millions of people at the same time.

This is a crucial shift in mindset. If you’re not thinking this way, you’re not ready to be rich!

That wraps up our signs you’re not ready to be rich video! Hope you found what you were looking for!
