There isn’t a thing in a world the rich parents won’t do for their kids, even tour colleges in private jet.
This is an alternative to making several road trips to visit their top ten colleges, and these high school alumni will simply use a private jet.
Visiting colleges that aren’t necessarily close to home is typical for students, don’t matter their wealth. But for those with the right amount of money, they can access a jet that will get them from end of the country to the other in just a few hours.
By using this method of transportation they are able to hit several more schools in just a few days, compared to the average student taking months to visit them all.
And there isn’t just the convenience level of the private jet for travel; there is also the luxury factor, the ability to say that you flew the plane to get to the college.

The Magellan Jet is a private jet charter company that came up with the $150,000 package for prospective students.
The package was received so well that the company is offering a more affordable one for $43,500 that includes 10-hours of time in the air.

Industry leading private jet charter company Magellan Jets organized one 12-leg, $150,000 trip across America tour for the son of a California based financier in August of 2014.
Anthony Tinvan, president of Magellan Jets, said, “It’s becoming a bigger part of our business. Dozens of families are taking advantage of the convenience of visiting colleges this way.”
“We take care of everything,” Tinvan said. “Many commercial airlines don’t have direct flights into airports near the universities, making it difficult to see multiple colleges in one day. Fly privately and you can visit as many as five or six colleges in the space of two or three days.”
