Exclusive! Lady Gaga Is the New Star of American Horror Story

Yes, you’ve read that very well: Lady Gaga will be the star of the upcoming season of the thriller hit American Horror Story!

The Grammy-winning diva gave us the news herself when she posted on Twitter a video breaking the news in her typical unique style. She’s waiting for us in the fifth season of the FX anthology series that’s called American Horror Story: Hotel.

AHS was created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk and has broken the records over time. The premiere of the latest season, American Horror Story: Freak Show, became the most-watched telecast in FX history!

So this is going to be Lady Gaga’s huge entrance into acting. The singer has already played minor roles in a series of movies like Men in Black 3, Machete Kills, Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For and a short appearance in a Season 3 episode of The Sopranos, but this is going to be her first major TV gig.

But the director of Machete Kills, Robert Rodriguez has already revealed how good Lady Gaga’s performance is and said that he believes in her long acting career:

The camera loves her. She’s a great performer. She’s performed twice for me now and I was blown away by her discipline. She studied acting before she became a singer and you could really tell.

Lady Gaga has worked with the co-creator of AHS, Ruan Murphy before, too when she offered her songs for Fox’s musical comedy Glee in 2010 including Bad Romance, Telephone, Poker Face, Born This Way and many more. The show even featured an entire tribute episode to Gaga.

Now, the pop diva’s taking her relationship with Murphy a step further with this latest striking collaboration for American Horror Story.

Lady Gaga’s performance is the only confirmation for the cast so far and no other details about her character have come to our ears, although some sources say that Gaga will probably be the star of the fifth season as leading lady Jessica Lange will most likely leave the show.

That’s too bad though. I would’ve killed for a scene with those two!

And even though everything about the next season is being kept under wraps, they did let some things slip away just to tease us a bit and make us even more anxious.

Last month, FX Network CEO John Landgraf said that AHS’s fifth season is going to be “very different” from the other previous seasons and Murphy has also revealed that there were a series of clues among the Freak Show about the upcoming season.

And if that isn’t too much to take for you already, here’s more: Murphy also revealed that the previous four seasons are somehow connected. Now I wonder who the Hell is going to sleep anymore until the fifth season arrives!
