The radio talk-show host was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri as the son of Mildred Carolyn, a native Searcy, Arkansas, and Rush Hudson Limbaugh, a lawyer and U.S. fighter pilot.
In 1967, he began his career as a teenager in his hometown, going by the name of Rusty Sharpe.
