Harrison Ford Net Worth: How rich is Harrison Ford? & How much money is Harrison Ford worth? Time to find out!

Harrison Ford is an American actor and film producer and his current net worth is $250 million.

The actor, who is famous for his roles as Indiana Jones in the series with the same name, and Han Solo in the Star Wars film series, was born at the Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

His parents, Christopher Ford, an advertising executive and former actor, and Dorothy, a former radio actress, were Irish (father) and his mother was Ashkenazi Jewish.

As a kid he was an active member of the Boy Scout of America, and reached its second-highest rank, Life Scout.

Growing up, he used to work at Napowan Adventure Base Scout camp as a counselor for the Reptile Study merit badge.

Interesting fact is that, later in his career, he and director Steven Spielberg decided to depict the young Indiana Jones as a Life Scout, in the franchise films.

While in high school he was the first student broadcast on school’s new radio station, WMTH.

After graduating high school he attended Ripon College in Wisconsin where he majored in philosophy and was an active member of the Sigma Nu fraternity.

Also when he was a student, in the final semester of his senior year, he took a drama class, in order to get over his shyness.

There was the time when the young Ford became fascinated with acting.

He got cast into playing Han Solo in Star Wars after his previous work in American Graffiti, which made George Lucas hire him to read lines for actors auditioning for the roles in his film.

Lucas liked Ford’s performance so much that he decided to cast him as Han Solo. Star Wars became one of the most successful franchises of all time and turned Ford into an international superstar.

He reprised his role as Han Solo in the similarly successful Star Wars sequels, and there was a point for him that he wanted Lucas to kill of his character but the director refused.

Later he admitted that killing Han Solo would have been a mistake.

Apart from Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises, Ford has also starred in some other critically acclaimed films such as Blade Runner (1982), Witness (1985), for which he was nominated for the Academy Award, and Patriot Games (1992), just to name a few.

His film career has spread among six decades and includes roles in many other Hollywood blockbusters, which is why his net worth kept growing and he got paid more and more for a film.
