This Rolls-Royce Ghost was painted with a thousand crushed diamonds instead of regular paint, all for one lucky guy!
This custom-made Rolls-Royce, unveiled at Geneva International Motor Show, was exclusively made for one particular buyer.
The one-of-a-kind Ghost Elegance made by Rolls-Royce has gotten an equally unique exterior paint finished called Diamond Stardust.
The car was specially made from one individual buyer who requested that his Rolls-Royce Ghost Elegance model to stand out with the most expensive paint ever seen on the body of a car.
And Rolls-Royce delivered; they crushed real diamonds into a fine powder and mixed with clear paint to get the bespoke paint.
Paint experts at Rolls-Royce factory in Goodwood, West Sussex spent two months improving the process. They tested the paint under the microscope in various lighting to make sure that everything was all right.
It took two days over the regular time Rolls-Royce takes to apply the paint on the car.
The Ghost Elegance, aside from the custom-made exterior, it features hand painted coachlines in Mugello Red and Black, red centers on wheels and the same color can be found on its interior, mixed with black leather seating and Mugello red stitching.
Its door pockets are made up in grey, red and black tartan, and a unique clock rests on the dashboard.
We don’t know how much the customer has paid for this custom-made Rolls-Royce Ghost Elegance car, but we can assume it was a lot.
Considering that the most expensive paint job (to date) is around $60,000 on a McLaren that changes colors.
We also know that a normal Rolls-Royce (without any custom features) could be marketed at £250,327 price tag, based on Ghost LWB.
