The listing agent, Stephanie Nick says that what she likes best about this property is the backyard.
“The backyard is absolutely stunning and one of a kind. When you step into the garden, it feels like you are in the Renaissance era and it just takes your mind off everything,” Ms. Nick said.
In fact, the backyard won second place in a national backyard competition hosted by “Good Morning America” in 2012.
Its owner, Craig Turner and his wife, Ciera, are a couple of artists. They have been living in Africa and traveled around the world before settled down in Austin to raise their family.
“I built this place for my kids and my wife to have a quality life. This home was an outlet for my artistic passion and dedicated to my love for them,” Mr. Turner said.
All the paintings, carpeting and molding that you see all around the property have been done by Mr. Turner.
“Some of the stained glass contains real gold. I melt some gold and mix it in the glass so it can reflect and shine in the sun,” he said.
