Aside from famous people and chocolate, Belgium also has brilliant designers who have built incredible homes. Among those incredible homes is this bachelor pad, which was built especially for classic car lovers!
Thanks to Govaert & Vanhoutte Architects, the guys who designed this house in Ghent, you can see another piece of art.
Complete with built-in cigar cabinets, a CAR ELEVATOR for your cherished collection, this house is the paradise for those who love cars.
A rooftop Jacuzzi, and a private club in the basement, which is also joined with a underground view of the pool out back, are just other features of this incredible pad.
We started this story by describing this home as a bachelor pad, why? Because we believe it is perfect for a modern gentleman who is looking for a minimalist home to spend his nights and/or invite friends over.
Because we all know if you don’t show what you got to your friends, you are not worth anything.
Another thing that impressed us about this house is the attention to details the designers put into it. The lawn is cut to align with the flow of the Leie river, offset only by the floating concrete roof and floor to ceiling glass.

Unfortunately for you, this home already has an owner, who is actually a luxury car dealer, hence the need to store the lavish examples of vehicles inside.
“He has a particular lifestyle for his line of work, which involves organising events and parties for friends, but also for some exclusive clients,” lead architect Benny Govaert told Wallpaper.
“He wanted a house that allowed him to organize all this at home, with the possibility of putting certain exclusive cars on display”, says Benny Govaert, lead architect on the project.
The underground club is the perfect place that features a decked out bar, lounge area, extensive wine cabinet, and a DJ booth, so any DJ can play at your party.
To look more like a bachelor pad and less like an ordinary house, some “unique” features were added, like the master suite is located within the upper volume, with access to an intimate roof terrace and Jacuzzi.
Also, sliding wooden panels that can be opened to enclose the pool and create privacy from the boats passing by the river were also added.
Getting the home ready wasn’t an easy task for the crew behind it, because of an entire cube of concrete and glass needed to fit correctly, without any mistake.
