The 9th most expensive Google acquisition is On2 Technologies.
The company was previously known as The Duck Corporation, which its primer occupation was designing video codec technology.
The On2 Technologies was also known for a series of video codecs called TrueMotion, and that helped Google optimizing their WebM video format.
Among their coding, Google also acquired a means to compress video, and subsequently also drew in more revenue from On2 Technologies clients.
Before it was acquired by Google, On2 Technologies had their own famous clients. Among them, we name the Sony, Adobe, Skype and many other famous companies.
