Take a Look inside the Biggest Shoe Store in the World

Biggest Shoe Store in Dubai Just Got Bigger

The biggest shoe store in Dubai is now selling 600 pairs/day, which makes it even better.

The Dubai’s Level Shoe District store just expanded its men’s category with an addition of three new areas.

Built inside the Dubai Mall, the store just got bigger to include: “Classic”, “Contemporary” and “Designer Sneaker” areas.

The shoe store latest’s expand contains within 3000 square feet of the footwear space which already occupied 96,000 square feet.

“Our male customer wants maximum efficiency; his shopping behaviors are conditioned by ease and accessibility.

“He is more a spender than a browser, therefore we don’t want him navigating through a labyrinth of product without a clear path towards exactly what he is looking for.”

“The new zones were created to mirror the environments of these three customer profiles– offering each of them a shopping experience that is fully bespoke, from design, to edit, to service,” says Level Shoe District General manager Rania Masri.

By expanding their store, the Level Shoe District is also expanding their horizons to respond to the growing demand for shoes among GCC men.

The “Classic” area offers a made-to-order service by Magnanni features 11 exotic leather styles.

Their other area, “Contemporary” brings all the complimentary hot stamping services on leather shoes.

And then there’s the “Designer Sneaker” area, which comes in addition to a customization service in the form of shoe tattooing.

However, the best thing about this is the 14-piece capsule collection built exclusively for Level Shoe District, in collaboration with designers including Giuseppe Zanotti, Alberto Moretti and Jon Buscemi.

All the shoes from the capsule collection come in 14 different shades of blue, and will be available at the footwear retail, later this month.

They are now selling 600 pairs a day, but they are aiming to hit almost double the number in the next few years.

The foot store now includes 300 brands, of which 40 around are stand-alone designer boutiques, opened in October 2012, in an underused area of the mall.

“It was [the previous gold souk] an area that was not doing well,” said Rania Masri, the general manager of fashion concepts at Chalhoub Group, which owns and operates Level Shoe District.

“First of all we very much believed that the concept of one category all under one roof was the right way to go. We had the opportunity of the space. The footwear industry itself is showing immense growth around the world.

“In 2013, the value of the luxury shoe category internationally was US$17 billion. That grew from $15bn the year before.”
