Considered by many one of the greatest vintage wines of the last century, Jeroboam of Château Mouton-Rothschild 1945 is also one of the most expensive bottles of wine in the world.
It was bottled at the end of the WWII and has a perfect label for that time. The 1945 vintage label is known for its “V” which stands for victory.
In 2007, they broke the record and sold instead of a standard-size one which could go for $51,783, a large bottle of wine and paid $114,614 for it.
It was sold to an anonymous bidder at Christie’s, London in 2007. The price tag of $114,614 equals to almost $23,000 per 750 ml.
