Priced at $686,000, the castle’s price is about the same as of a small flat in London. So you’ll snap the best deal on the internet today.

The building, which is a grade II listed place, only has a single bedroom, but the décor inside makes this deal somewhat of a bargain.

Called the Molly’s Lodge, the little castle was built by British architect Edward Blore in 1830s, the same architect that restored the Lambeth Palace and completed the enlargement of Buckingham Palace for Queen Victoria.

Located in Long Compton, in Warwickshire, the castle is surrounded by trees. Spreading of 0.61 acre, the little castle comes with limestone turrets, and a winding staircase.

If you decide to buy it, you get two bedrooms, one in the castle and a smaller one in a building outside the castle.

The place also features a dining room with mullion windows and a Victorian cast iron fireplace.

The building, which served as a gatehouse to the Weston Park Estate, boasts pyramidal roof, mullion windows.

The castle offers the best surrounding if you enjoy walks, as well as a long gravel driveway leading to the oak-glazed front door.

On the property there is also an orchard, a pond, vegetable patches and a chicken run to help you become self-sufficient.

A spokesperson for Savills estate agents in Banbury, Oxfordshire, said: ‘Molly’s Lodge is an attractive Grade II Listed former gatehouse to the Weston Park Estate.

‘Dating to 1834, the property was designed by Edward Blore who is most notable for his completion of John Nash’s design of Buckingham Palace.

 ‘The property occupies a plot of just over half an acre and is further complimented Molly’s Mews, a detached timber framed building incorporating a single garage, two open bay carports, a secure home office and a self-contained one bedroom annexe with living space.

 ‘Molly’s Lodge is situated at the northern edge of the Cotswolds on the southern tip of Warwickshire, close to the borders of Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. It is within easy reach of the larger market towns of Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh, Shipston-on-Stour.
