Well, would you swim in the first glass-bottomed sky pool?
Among the years we have seen many and many unique and unusual pools, some of them were the most amazing we have ever encountered. While others were a first because of their design and unique emplacements.
That’s the case of the pool we are going to talk about today. It’s the world first glass-bottomed sky pool and will definitely make you feel like you are swimming on the clouds.
Will be like swimming in the highest pools in the world.
The 25-meter long transparent swimming pool suspended 10 stories in the air between two blocks of luxury apartments will be coming up in London.
Designed to be a part of Embassy Gardens at Nine Elms, will be a new development near the former Battersea power station.
The unique pool is something you must try if you are one of those people with no fear of heights or depths.
How deep the pool will be?
The pool will allow swimmers to look down 35 meters to the world below, with only 20 cm of glass between them and the world.
The amazing swimming-pool will be available for the residents of the buildings who will be able to swim between the two towers and recover from their exertions on a sky deck.
That particular sky deck features a spa, summer bar and orangery with views of the Houses of Parliament.
Who designed it?
The transparent and structure free pool was designed by Arup Associates, with specialist input from aquarium designers Reynolds.
Ballymore’s chairman and CEO, Sean Mulryan, announced:
“I wanted to do something that had never been done before. The Sky Pool’s transparent structure is the result of significant advancements in technologies over the last decade.
The experience of the pool will be truly unique; it will feel like floating through the air in central London.”
“My vision for the Sky Pool stemmed from a desire to push the boundaries in the capability of construction and engineering.”
Because what is coming to London is going to redefine luxury, we couldn’t be more excited to see how the views from this pool will be and how nice it will be to take a swim at 115 feet above London.
The site construction begins this year, and in 2018 buyers will be able to move in.
