“Dirty Dancing” actress has put her amazing Beverly Hills property up for grabs, and it looks absolutely stunning!
The four bedroom Beverly Hills mansion cost her $7.3 million in 2012, and the asking price has now doubled to nearly $13 million, as the Oscar winning star and Richard Redford wanted to sell.
Over the years, especially in the last five decades, the house has undergone a lot of work, with eco-friendly features added.
The couple added bamboo floors, photovoltaic electric panels and bio-ethanol fueled fireplaces.
“Richard and I must have looked at more than 30 houses, and the day we pulled in through the gate … I took one look at this house and I knew,” Ms. Fonda said of finding the property in a video. “I just knew!…This was the place where we could live very happily”.
“The style, the line, was very important to me,” the political activist said in a statement. “It has really good strong architectural lines… This place has taste! …This is the first time in my 79 years that I have had a closet that you could walk in and see everything that you have!”
The actress is set to move on from the four-bedroom 1961 hose which features an elevated terrace with stunning canyon, mountain and some of the best sunset views.
Jane Fonda, who actually described the house as having “taste” when interviewed by Forbes, is actually moving on, and trying to find a new tasteful place to live now that she and Richard Redford split.
On the property, the actress had installed double-glazed thermal glass windows with motorized shaded to cut down on air conditioning and central heating.
The mansion has three guest bedrooms, each include bathrooms that all open onto the first floor terrace.
But nothing compares with the master bedroom which incorporates a bi-level sitting room and study.
The bedroom also has a walk-in wardrobe and dress room, fit a superstar like her; and not one, but two bathrooms.
The open-plan living space opens out onto a private garden with a swimming pool and both open and covered lounge areas. It seems like she is into gardens and meditation because she also installed a secluded meditation garden complete with a fountain.
