9. Nokia
Next we have the Finnish multinational communications and information technology company, Nokia.
The company has its headquarters in Espoo, Uusimaa, in the greater Helsinki metropolitan area, and along the time employed 90,000 people across 120 countries.
It is currently focuses on large-scale telecommunications infrastructures, technology development and licensing, and online mapping services, and conducts sales in more than 150 countries and reported annual revenues of around €12.7 billion.
Measured by 2013 revenues according to the Fortune Global 500, Nokia is the world’s 274th-largest company.
Nokia’s mobile phone business was acquired by Microsoft for the amount of $7.17 billion, the deal being closed on 25 April 2014.
