Donald Trump Sold His Park Avenue Penthouse For $21 million
Donald Trump sold his Park Avenue Penthouse for $21 million but paid $115 million for the entire building when he bought it in 2001.
He has since converted the former Delmonico Hotel into a luxury condo building.
I’m sure you already knew that Donald Trump is aiming for Presidency in 2016, and he is also one of the richest presidential candidates. So, this news is no surprise for us.
Recently Trump sold the Trump Park Avenue unit, a place he never lived in. He has owned the penthouse since he has purchased the building and ever since he hasn’t stepped a foot in it.
How the penthouse looks and where is located?
The clean white furniture, tasteful art, and accent pieces have the touch of Ivanka. This reminds us of her apartment located in the same building that has a similar taste in décor.
But this is not the first time the penthouse hits the market. In 2013, it hit the market for $35 million and recently it was listed for $24.99 million, according to StreetEasy.
The 6,200-square-foot penthouse is located on the 24th floor of the 32-story 502 Park Avenue building.
The best features of this place?
Some of the best features of the place are the 10-foot ceilings, floor-to-floor windows, three exposures in the great room, a windowed chef’s kitchen with butler’s pantry, and two walk-in closets in the master suite.
Other amazing features include the custom moldings, marbled bathrooms with Watermark fixtures, a library and a media room.
What will Trump do with the money?
The $21 million he got for this penthouse won’t be used to do some fundraising for his campaign according to the Wall Street Journal.
Ms. Trump, who lives in the Park Avenue building, said the sale is unrelated to Mr. Trump’s presidential campaign. “My father is in the business of real estate,” she said, noting the sale wasn’t related to political fundraising.
The offer to rent the place for more than $80,000 per month was on the table, but Trump took the sale instead.
Ivanka Trump, executive vice president of development and acquisitions of the Trump Organization and Mr. Trump’s daughter, confirmed the sale.
“In his mind, it was a strong market and it was a good time to get a deal done,” Trump International Realty’s Michelle Griffith, who had the listing for this unit, told the Journal.
The buyer’s agents, Alatia Bradley Bach and Leighton Candler of Corcoran Group, declined to name their client. Ms. Griffith wouldn’t disclose the buyer’s identity, but said it was purchased by a couple residing in the U.S. who own other homes in the country.
In a statement, Mr. Trump said the sale “is a testament to the building, its incredible location and the strength of the Trump Brand.”
Donald Trump has assets worth at least $1.5 billion and his net worth is estimated at $4 billion, ranging from stakes in real estate and entertainment companies to restaurants, according to a federal disclosure form. He also owns one of the most expensive private jets in the world!
He has said he is worth more than $10 billion, but the form isn’t designed to account for such wealth.
