Most Expensive Action Figure in the World
What’s the Most Expensive Action Figure in the World?
I’m pretty sure you tried to answer that question before. But here is where you find out the answer.
The action figures are some collectable items, right? Just like the baseball cards or the stamps.
But when you were younger you used to collect the action figures or used to play with them?
I bet you haven’t played with the most expensive one before.
The most expensive action figure in the world is the first prototype G.I. Joe action figure.
Hand-crafted by the famous toy designer Don Levine in 1963 the toy was an executive for Rhode Island-based Hasbro toys.
“The Story of G.I. Joe” was the inspiration for the soldier’s name.
The term of G.I. stands for Government Issue and G.I. Joe is the product that the company Hasbro came up with in the line of action figures.
The G.I. Joe soldier is also the most expensive toy soldier in the world valued at $200,000.
This expensive toy measures 11 1/2 inches tall and it has twenty-one movable parts and an identical Sergeants uniform.
How cool is this toy? Is the perfect gift for someone special.
Four other branches were in the initial offer of the U.S armed forces: The Action Soldier (U.S. Army), The Action Sailor (U.S. Navy), The Action Pilot (USAF), The Action Marine (USMC) but later they designed The Action Nurse to complete the set.
By the time the toy soldiers were made the term of action figure was born.
Among the evolution of the G.I. Joe, the action figure has been the basis for a Marvel Comic series of comics and now everyone knows what a G.I. Joe is.
As much as they try, they won’t be able to defeat the number one, the first action figurine in the world.
The first action figure ever is on display at the Geppi Museum in Baltimore, Maryland, where its owner Steve Geppi put it.
