iPhone 6s with Putin’s Gold Head by Caviar Are A Thing, Just Because
Caviar, a luxury Russian jewelry company has launched an iPhone 6s with Putin’s Gold Head on it.
We all know that the Russian President is everywhere, but on an iPhone. That can be right!
But then we remembered that last year, the same company has launched a “special edition” of the iPhone 5s with Vladimir Putin’s face on the back.
Now this doesn’t seem so off, does it?
And today the company has come up with an upgrade to the previous collection; the Putinphone is now an iPhone 6s, because technology is evolving, and they got to be in trend.
All this trouble to homage the Russian leader, once again. And you thought Russia doesn’t love its President.
If you are one of those who love Putin you can now get his head on your iPhone. It will cost you around US$3,193 but it will be worth it.
For almost $4,000 you get a specially designed “anniversary” iPhone 6s, with Putin’s face encrusted in gold, right on the back of the phone, along with a titanium texture.
The titanium texture is supposedly reflecting an apparently ‘strong, invincible’ leader.
Included in the price is a nice velvet wooden case, for storing your new purchase, when you are not playing Candy Crush or browsing on Facebook.
Among with all that, you also get a free charger for your car. Now that doesn’t sound so bad after all, does it?
If you do want to purchase an iPhone 6s with the face of the Russian President you must hurry, because there are just 63 “Gold Supreme Putin Anniversary” iPhones available.
Meaning that each headset comes with a number etched on the side and back of the phone.
However, you must also know that Caviar isn’t offering the 16 GB model of the iPhone 6s, even though you can find it on Apple.
Despite the unusual choice of decoration and the enormous price tag, previous models from the Putinphone collection have sold out in record time.
The iPhone 5 Supremo Putin, a limited edition design of which only 144 were made, retailed at £2,730 and was gone within days of its release in June this year.
The special designed iPhones are designed by jewelry firm Perla Penna for Caviar phones, and are only available in Russia.
‘After learning about the president’s discontent with the use of his portrait, we immediately ceased the production of the Caviar Supremo Putin II [Putinphone],’ Caviar’s press secretary, Anna Lobova, told Russian newspaper Izvestia.
‘Though we planned to manufacture 299 items, there will be no more phones made and those already produced will be the only ones.’
I can’t help but wonder will the President be purchasing one of these phones?
